Headed off to Cali

Tomorrow morning I leave for California with my mom and sister to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. Considering that this is one of the most exciting things that have happened in my life lately, I'll bring you along for the ride. I'm planning to take my laptop and camera and share my adventures! I have stayed home pretty much full-time with our children for twelve years now, with little travel involved. Rob and I do occasionally get away, but I've never been to California (or the west coast) before.

We plan to take a tour of some San Francisco sights, visit a farmers market, find some great places to eat, and just enjoy our time together. I'll take lots of pictures - I'll introduce you to my mom and sister - and show you the sights of Northern California.

Rob will be in charge of the kids this week - they will be headed to our cabin for part of the week to have fun. I'm quite positive that vegetables and showers will not be abundant - and that's fine with me! They will ride four-wheelers, fish, hike, and just enjoy quiet time (no phones or tv) together. I will miss them like crazy, but I know they'll have a blast!
